ArjanWrites.com Hosting ARTIST #TALK with HP featuring V V Brown Today

ARJAN_ARTISTTALK_VV

I am counting down to the next installment of ARTIST #TALK with HP that will be held tonight in New York City with special guest V V Brown. In front of a live audience of reporters, bloggers and fans, I will be chatting with V V about her forthcoming new LP "Lollipops & Politics." V V will also play select tracks from the album for the very first time. I received an early pressing of the album in prep for the interview and the material is stunning. Very, very good. A dynamite record. Tune in to Twitter and search for hastag "ARTIST #TALK" for live updates from the event that starts at 8PM EDT.

[FIRST LOOK] Nervo Premieres Video for Debut Single "We're All No One"

You may remember that I exclusively premiered Nervo's "We're All No One" back in August. The song is the sisters' very first artist single that is taken their forthcoming debut LP. Liv and Mim are already massively popular on the DJ scene, stirring crowds from Miami to Ibiza, but "We're All No One" marks an adventurous new artistic direction for the two.

Liv and Mim perform the lead vocals on "We're All No One" and introduce a bold, progressive dance-pop sound. They worked on the tune with chart-topping pals Afrojack and Steve Aoki who bring a perfect balance of radio-savvy club beats and unorthodox production stylings to the song.

Slightly quirky and totally fun, "We're All No One" is dominated by its hands-in-the-air, anthemic pop chorus featuring Nervo's playful top line and commanding vocals that capture the duo's brash energy and rebellious spark. "We're all no one until someone thinks that we're someone. Until then we are no one," Liv and Mim sing, adding some lyrical fire to the forward production of the song.

Co-directed by none other than DJ Skeet Skeet, the brand-new video for "We're All No One" perfectly captures the song's care-free and rebellious spirit. The video was filmed in Los Angeles on a hot summer day and features a cameo by Steve Aoki.

The Good Natured Release Exclusive U.S. EP, Announce Debut U.S. Tour

Good natured

In conjunction with the release of their debut EP "Skeleton" this week, rising U.K. electro-pop sensation The Good Natured also annouced that they will be playing their first U.S. tour in January. Tour cities include New York (January 16), Brooklyn (January 17), San Francisco (January 19) and Los Angeles (January 20).

In anticipation of those tour dates, make sure to check out the excellent "Skeleton" EP that was expanded to 7 tracks for the U.S. market and features the songs from the band's acclaimed U.K. EPs "Skeleton" and "Be My Animal" plus a bonus remix.

Fronted by the beguiling 20-year old singer and principle songwriter Sarah McIntosh, The Good Natured is the teaming of Sarah's brother Hamish on bass and George Hinton on drums. Pivotal tracks on "Skeleton" are its title track and "Wolves" that were produced by none other than Patrick Berger who previously produced Robyn's "Dancing On My Own."

This new EP once again shows off McIntosh development as a songwriter, displaying her mature command of serious pop music infused with sensual and emotional content that drives her lyrics. The title track "Skeleton" packs a raw passion with its frenetic rhythm section and glossy chorus that is nothing less than sheer brilliance. It's a perfect balance between sweet and crunchy. It's pop you gotta chew on to get the full flavor. You can stream "Skeleton" in its entirey on Rdio.com.

Below check out a Cherrytree Pop Chop Minute interview that was filmed at South by Southwest back in March when The Good Natured made their U.S. performance debut.
