[REMIX] Listen to Natalia Kills "Free" (Doctor Rosen Rosen Remix)

Los Angeles producer Doctor Rosen Rosen funks up Natalia Kills' latest single "Free" and turns it into a groovy new pop joint. Ruled by a plucky bass and buzzing, glittery synth chords, Kills' sounds more Duran Duran and Level 42 than ever. It's a fun, fresh and totally new take on the happy-go-lucky original that is taken from her debut LP, "Perfectionist."

In related Natalia Kills news, make sure to catch the pop singer on tour with The Sounds next month in North America. Kills will also appear alongside many of her label mates on the Cherrytree Pop Alternative Tour in Canada that also features LMFAO, Far East Movement, Frankmusik, Colette Carr, Kay and Rye Rye. Kills wrapped tour dates with Katy Perry last month joining the pop superstar as a special guest in cities across South America.

If you're a fan of Doctor Rosen Rosen's remixes, make sure to check out a totally guilt-free download of his "Girls" EP that includes brand-new songs that he produced for newcomers Kay, Meg, Anjulie and Jessie & The Toy Boys. Highly recommended.

[DANCE] Porter Robinson Releases "SpitFire" EP, Talks Pop Collaborations

Porter-robinson

Rihanna better make sure to get Porter Robinson's cell number pronto because the young North Carolina producer has a track she may like to get her hands on. Porter Robinson's "Unisom" is a massive dancefloor stomper with a flaming melodic hook that could easily pass for a major dance-pop track with a few small tweaks and some proper vocal verses.

Packed with raw energy, "Unisom" packs a potent punch with its larger-than-life synth chords, soaring builds, mind-altering drops and, yes, some subtle dubstep work. The track is included on Robinson's brand-new EP, titled "Spitfire," that premiered on Beatport.com a few weeks ago, but is available now on Rdio, iTunes or another digital store near you.

At only 19 years-old, Robinson shows impressive soundboard skill and soundboard savvy on tracks like "Spitfire" and "Unisom." Hailing from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Robinson was inspired by great trance dance from Europe that compelled him to start producing, remixing and deejaying that got him quickly noted in the dance community. After getting commissioned to produce official remixes for Lady Gaga and Avicii, and touring with heavy-hitters like LMFAO, Diplo and David Guetta, Skrillex was impressed with his talent and signed him to his new OWSLA label this summer.

I recently spent some time with Robinson backstage at the Virgin Mobile FreeFest and he talked more about his quick rise to fame in the dance world. Robison talked enthusiastically about the exploding popularity of dance music in America and how that has given him many new opportunities. He is particularly excited about this new EP. Many of his fans will be familiar with the songs from his DJ sets, but the "Spitfire" release enables the North Carolina DJ wunderboy to go far beyond his fanbase.

Robinson was pretty clear that he has no interest at this time in producing for pop artists although he has been approached by a few. But given his ability to write a solid melodic hook and the appetite of mainstream artist to embrace straight up dance in their music, he may want to reconsider. Rihanna's collaboration with Calvin Harris may convince him. Listen to "Unisom" in the Rdio player below and make sure to catch Robinson as a special guest on Tiesto's Campus Invasion Tour in the U.S. over the next few weeks. (Listen to "Unisom" outside of the U.S. here.)

[FIRST LOOK] Aaron Delahunty "Never Happen Again" (Video Premiere)

Newcomer Aaron Delahunty likes to mix things up to create a compelling brew of fresh new pop. Check out for example the video for his new single "Never Happen Again" which is a wildly unorthodox tune featuring catchy vocal melodies interspersed with spitfire rhymes that are layered over a progressive fusion of dubstep, pop, gypsy rock and hip hop. Delanhunty's music feels vintage at times but sure is forward in its execution.

Born and bred in Gypsy Hill, South London, Aaron grew up singing along to whatever music was playing at home. At 15, inspired by the boom of the nu-metal scene, he picked up a guitar and hasn't put it down since. Throughout his life, hip hop was Aaron's passion, in particular the early '90s East-West Coast hip hop scenes that became an outlet for the "hardships of his childhood," a press release describes.

Delanhunty turned struggle into opportunity and decided to pursue a career in music as a teenager. At 18, the budding artist moved to East London's Bow to study at the British Academy of New Music. Bow is considered the center of London's grime scene, which had a deep impact on Delahunty who was quick to incorporate that moody, grinding and straight up attitude in his music.

But as lover and scholar of music, Delahunty has recently also experimented with honky-tonk, classic swing and gypsy jazz to create a vintage style that has not influenced his music, but also the overall aesthetic of his performance. Delahunty is magnet for fashionistas with his unique Vaudeville meets Victorian gentleman look that is a perfect fit for his musical cross-over stylings.

Watch the video for Aaron Delahunty's "Never Happen Again" after the break. Make sure to follow Delahunty on Facebook and Twitter.
