Get a few tissues out because you're about to cry some happy tears! Filled with heaps of positive energy and pure joy, V V collaborated with the famed school choir PS22 to perform "Shark In The Water," her new single "Children" and her likely follow up single "Famous." It's touching and heartfelt, and such an inspiration. If you're feeling a little blue, these performances will lift you right back up. Watch the performance of "Famous" and "Shark In The Water" after the break. (This may be the first time for many of you to hear "Famous" that is another incredible track taken from her forthcoming new LP, "Lollipops & Politics.")
Swedish House Mafia's much-anticipated new single, entitled "Antidote," premiered on BBC Radio this week and has fans everywhere buzzing. "Antidote" is a collaboration with Knife Party (a side project of Pendulum's Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen) that will be released on January 15 globally. The track treads a much darker path than the Swedes' usual productions and comes with a massive dubstep-esque warbling bottom-end. Brace yourself.
On a related Swedish House Mafia note, the group also announced this week that both Calvin Harris and 17 year-old DJ prodigy Madeon will be featured as special guests on the Swedish House Mafia's "gargantuan" 9 hour 'One Night Stand' show in front of 65,000 people at the Milton Keynes National Bowl on July 14th 2012.
Highlights of this incredible event will be recorded by BBC Radio 1 for a future broadcast. Swedish House Mafia will premiere their "One Night Stand" show at New York's Madison Square Garden on December 16.
Swedish synth-pop outfit The Sounds of Arrows takes on The Knocks' new single "Brightside" on a very special new remix that was unleashed on Soundcloud this morning. The Sounds of Arrows incorporate their shimmering, celestial synth pop stylings and combine it with the anthemic, upbeat quality of The Knock's original. The result is a head rush of pure synth pop goodness. The original "Brightside" is taken from The Knocks' debut EP 'Magic' that will be released on A&M/Octone Records. The LP will be introduced the official video for 'Brightside" later this month. (Download MP3)
