[FIRST LISTEN] Neon Hitch "Poisoned With Love" (Produced by Greg Kurstin)

Neon Hitch's freshly-leaked "Poisoned With Love" shows once again how incredibly versatile she is as an artist. Hitch is a true pop chameleon who can easily go from being sweet and sultry to daring and dominant at the change of a tune.

Whether it's getting real with Mac Miller, writing heartfelt balladry with Sia, getting matching tattoos with Ke$ha or laying down the rules for her "Bad Dog," everything Hitch serves up is unexpected, fun and genuinly compelling. Combine that wildly unique attitude with her photogentic stage persona and what you have is pure star power.

Hitch's brand-new "Poisoned With Love" neatly displays her quirky originality. Starting out with a soothing sound remembling a music box, the song's eerie and restless verses are resolved by a glossy pop chorus that pack a massive hook. Hitch is sick with love and wants you to know about it. She purrs, "This is not fair, I am beyond repair 'cause of you."

"Poisoned With Love" was produced by none other than hitmaker Greg Kurstin (The Bird & The Bee, Lily Allen, Kylie Minogue, Sky Ferreira) who wraps the song in a finely-tuned, richly-layed package that perfectly accentuates Hitch's idiosyncratic delivery.

[GIG REVIEW] M83 Moves Fans With Electrifying Live Show In Atlanta

M83

Seeing M83 perform live on Halloween Eve sure was a special kind of treat. A large crowd dressed as zombies, superheroes or one of their favorite television vampires packed the famed Masquerade theatre in Atlanta to see their French electronica hero perform.

Masquerade is a nineteenth century mill that previously housed the DuPre Manufacturing Factory and now functions as an event space. The current owner has left most of the original metal equipment and set up intact, which creates the perfect, dramatic backdrop for a hipster Halloween party with the soaring and intensely dramatic electronica of M83.

M83 (aka Anthony Gonzales) is currently on tour in the U.S. to promote his new album, the aptly-titled "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming." The album is a downright smash that has hit number one on the iTunes Electronica chart and debuted in the Billboard 200 on #49 that is the artist's highest album chart entry to date. The record features the single "Midnight City" that is currently featured in a new Victoria's Secret commercial.

Together with a full band of drummer, guitarist and keyboard player, M83 started out on an immediate high note with "Intro" that is also the opening track on his new album. The cinematic, pulsing tune stirred a kinetic energy in the room that set the tone for the rest of the night and was thoroughly enjoyed both by fans and Gonzalez and his band who looked visibly excited.

"Intro" was followed by "Midnight City" that had fans jumping up and down to the beat, and reaching their arms out to the stage. Set between a laptop and his vintage analogue gear, Gonzalez keps up the pace by playing primarily songs from "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming," plus crowd favorites like "We Own The Sky" and the shimmering "Kim & Jessie." Gonzalez completed his show with a top-notch light show that incorporated LCD screens and light beams that intensified the mind-altering moments of his set.

Hearing M83 perform live is a very different experience than hearing his music on disc. The live show is bursting with blistering, dancefloor-ready energy that creates a whole new dimension to his music. It emphasizes hard-hitting dance beats and stark guitar riffs in favor of the fine and delicate textures that dominate the lush studio productions of his songs. The expansive quality of M83's music is a true testament to his musicianship that flourishes now more than ever. (Photo: Adam Kissick/NPR)

[VIDEO] Tinie Tempah Takes On London O2 Area, Shows Off New Nike Kicks

Tinie-02-1
Tinie-02-2

Tinie Tempah is currently playing a sold out arena tour in the U.K. and this week he performed at the iconic London 02 Arena, which was his biggest live show to date. When I spoke with Tinie back in September, he told me he was very much looking forward to the London O2 gig that is a true homecoming gig for the international superstar who is closing out another very successful year.

Tempah recorded a quick video right before going on stage to share his excitement. He also shows off his brand-new, brightly-flickering Back To The Future II Nike Mags. He splurged a hefty $37,500 to be the very first to have these limited-edition kicks that he scooped up at a special eBay auction.

Nike produced the trainers in support of the Michael J Fox Foundation that funds Parkinson's disease research. I didn't think Tinie would actually wear these kicks on stage, but they sure are fly and just Tinie's style.
