[REMIX] Tiesto ft Kay "Work Hard, Play Hard" (Paris FZ & Simo T Remix)

Kay 450

Hip and happening Canadian DJ outfit Paris FZ & Simo T got their crafty hands on Tiesto's "Work Hard, Play Hard" that features the vocals of none other than our fave Kay. The song has been out for over a year, but Tiesto launched a remix competition on his web site and picked this fine little remake as the winner. And by taking top honors in the contest, Paris FZ & Simo T will have their remix released on Tiesto's Musical Freedom imprint. It's a minimalist house pop stomper with a pretty darn ferocious bassline and punctuating beat that will move you right to the dance floor.

[FIRST LISTEN] Jessie J "My Shadow"

Jessie-J-450

Jessie J unleashed a brand-new pressing of her debut album "Who You Are" in digital stores yesterday that includes a few brand-new tracks. The "Platinum Edition" of "Who You are" features three fresh new bonus tunes, including her new U.S. single "Domino," "Laserlight," a new collaboration with David Guetta and "My Shadow" that she worked on with her long-time collaborators The Invisible Men.

Once again, The Invisible Men know exactly how to hit Jessie's vocal sweet point with this inspired R&B pop ditty. Set to a soaring arrangement that can easily be scaled back to an acoustic piano riff, "My Shadow" is one of the those songs that reminds you instantly of why Jessie J truly is one of the most phenomenal pop vocalists on the scene right now. She rips with such ease and injecting every word with a dose of of heartfelt emotion that is palpable.

Jessie J just finished up her U.K. tour and she is going back into the studio to work on her new album, but if this new "My Shadow" is any indication, she sure is in the zone together with The Invisible Men to deliver a dynamite follow up record that fans are craving for and skeptics who have been on the fence are curious to hear. [VIDEO] Vanbot "Make Me, Break Me" (Free MP3)

Rising Swedish electro-pop sensation Vanbot serves up her very first official music video for her debut single, "Make Me, Break Me," that had pop fans turning their heads on both sides of the Atlantic when it first hit nine months ago. Since then Vanbot (aka Ester Isdekog) has been playing shows and she released her self-titled debut independently. The LP is a finely-tuned collection of synth-pop gems that you can easily file next to the music of Robyn, Kleerup and LaRoux.

Inspired by artists like Empire of the Sun, Adrian Lux and Jonsi, Vanbot says in a recent interview that she likes to describe her music as "intoxicating and sticky." She explains, "The songs are made from nerve and dressed in catchy melodies with deep beats. I want to create a stickiness to each melody that makes it impossible for the listener not to want more! The melodies are my babies."

She adds in a different interview that the melodies often come to her when she least expects it. "I often find my songs while riding my bike in Stockholm! I love biking in the city. It's total freedom for me. That's when the melodies find me."

Directed by Jacob Mohlin, this new video shows different scenes of Vanbot that are interspersed with sped up images of a fall evening in Stockholm. Vanbot appears glammed up behind the synths, bird-like in a field of grass, and all glittery and bedazzled in a dream-like state to create a kaleidoscopic effect to go with the pulsing beat of the song.  After unveiling this new video, Isdekog is now prepping the release of a remix compilation of her album that should please her synth-loving and beat-obsessed fans.
