[FRESH NEW] Mansions On The Moon "Leaves Fall" (Free MP3)

Motm-photo-by-ace

Los Angeles trio Mansions On The Moon's returns today with "Leaves Fall," another mesmerizing slice of beautifully-crafted bliss pop that will move you. It's a high-grade tunage drenched in a haze of melody and melancholy that was executive produced by none other than Pharrell Williams. Dreamy and intensely atmospheric, it's perfect material for a long-haul flight or any other time you look to dream away to the sound of the music. (Download MP3)

Formed only a year ago, this Los Angeles oufit of songwriters and producers previously collaborated with N*E*RD and Chiddy Bang's Xaphoon Jones, toured with Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa, and even produced a mixtape that was presented by Diplo and Benzi that ended up clocking almost a million downloads. One of their more recent accomplishments includes their production work on "PA Nights" that is included on Mac Miller's chart-topping LP "Blue Slide Park."

After shuttling between studios in Atlanta and Virginia Beach, Mansions On The Moon has now settled in Los Angeles to finalize tracks for their EP that will be released song-by-song on their website. "Leaves Fall" is the newest of the bunch, but "Athens," "Rest Of Your Days" and "Take A Look" will follow next. Very exciting new band to keep you eye on. Note that Mansions On The Moon is also featured on the SEA "Be Seen" mixtape with "Last Night" that we wrote about here.

[REMIX] Martin Solveig ft. Dragonette "Big In Japan" (Club Edit)

Martin Solveig 450

There's nothing stopping Martin Solveig. Not only has the quirky French DJ been working overtime on Madonna's new album, he has also hit the road in the U.S. this month to promote the forthcoming release of his new album "Smash" in North America.

And if all of that wasn't enough, Solveig is also pushing his new single "Big In Japan" with some excellent new remixes including this banging new Club Edit that he unleashed on SoundCloud this morning and is available exclusively on Beatport today.

I previously posted the single version and video for "Big In Japan" but I'm quite frankly still completely, totally and utterly obsessed with this song. If you loved "Hello," you will adore "Big In Japan." Let's make it big here, there and everywhere. Hail to Solveig and Dragonette for keeping things light and fluffy, and just have good fun with it. And this new club remix brings all of that plus some more. (Listen to the single version of "Big In Japan" on Rdio.)

[MIXTAPE] SEA Brand Presents "Be Seen" - Download New Muse Remix By Uptill

SEA Brand

Atlanta-based apparel company SEA is a unique lifestyle brand that is entirely focused on raising funds for charity. By associating each of its products with particular causes, the company enables consumers to tastefully identify with and support a cause they care about.

Starting out as an Emory University and UNC Chapel Hill student side project, SEA was founded on a set of principles rather than an innovative idea or a business opportunity. It's about making "doing good" fashionable rather than supporting a cause as an after-thought or marketing ploy to sell products. Its founders write, "Making money remains secondary, though SEA is a serious brand with a serious agenda, one we hope to bring to the national stage." College celebs are tuning into the unique SEA project as well. Mike PosnerMac Miller and B.o.B. have all been spotted wearing SEA hats.

Today, SEA is releasing a very special album mixtape in support of the American Cancer Society. The free release is titled "Be Seen" and includes tracks from a diverse bunch of up and coming student artists who submitted their work to help compile "Be Seen."

"Be Seen" is an action-packed 27 tracks mixtape including a blistering dancefloor remake of Muse's "Starlight" by Starsmith-loving and Avicii-obsessed DJ/production duo UpTill who I previously featured on this blog. This excellent, electro-edged new revamp has been in the making for a while, but the result has been sure worth the wait. (That catchy synth riff that kicks in around the 1:50 min mark is particularly epic.)

Also's included on "Be Seen" is Sex Ray Vision's clubby remix of De-Lor pop ditty "Your Body." The mixtape's remaining 25 tracks are as diverse as the life it aims to support with tracks ranging from dubstep-styled hip hop to country pop to indie rock. Download it for free and be turned on to some new tunes while supporting an important cause.

Lana Del Rey Talks About Debut Album - U.S. Release Date Set For January 31

Lana-del-rey-born-to-die

After we were the first to blog about Lana Del Rey back in early 2010, the self-proclaimed "gangsta Nancy Sinatra" has come a long way with a sound that she likes to refer to as "Hollywood sadcore pop." Her Robopop-produced breakout single "Video Games" is flying up the charts on both sides of the Atlantic and garnered her a coveted record deal with Interscope Records

Now that people are paying attention to the Lake Placid, NY native, Del Rey is gearing up to unleash more new music. The singer announced this week that her debut LP, entitled "Born To Die," will be released worldwide on January 31.

In a press release, Del Rey sums the album up on in one brief sentence. "The songs I've written are an homage to true love and a tribute to living life on the wild side," she explains. Complementing the lush and majestic orchestration of "Video Games" and "Born To Die," there is a mountain of music that she has crafted lovingly in the studio - from the gorgeous timbres of "Hey Lolita Hey" to the hip hop influenced "National Anthem."

Lana Del Rey has been been hailed by tastemakers everywhere while some have been skeptical about her sudden rise to stardom. Whatever side you're on, Lana Del Rey is a fresh new voice to reckon with and ultimately her music will speak for itself. The singer notes,  "The record is going to be gorgeous. That much we know. Whether or not it will work? That much we don't know."

Whether stardom is in reach or not, Lana Del Rey stays grounded and notes, "I know a lot of different people. When they are drunk, in the dark of the night they all want the same thing. They all want to be famous."

She adds, "It's innately human to want other people to bear witness to your life. It's important for people to be watched. They don't want to be alone. I don't want to be alone." And that ladies and gentlemen, sums up Lana Del Rey's drive perfectly.
