[FRESH NEW] DJ Fresh ft. Rita Ora "Hot Right Now"

While spending time in London this week, the fresh new British pop goodness of the sweet and crunchy kind just keeps on coming. Check out DJ Fresh's brand-new single "Hot Right Now" that features Kosovo beauty (and hotly-tipped Roc Nation signing) Rita Ora. A video for the track was unveiled today and the song will be available for download on February 26, 2012.

"Hot Right Now" was produced by DJ Fresh and production team The Invisible Men, the masterminds behind tracks by artists like Jessie J, Sugababes, Nicola Roberts and Pixie Lott. This teaming of a drum & bass legend with first-class pop visionaries on "Hot Right Now" has resulted in a super catchy tune that is driven by a relentless, spiky club groove that balances nicely with Ora's crispy pop vocals that reveal some serious pipes. It's a big tune with big potential that is a worthy follow up to DJ Fresh's most recent "Louder."

The single comes along with a cool video that underlines the dance sensibilities of the song. With a megaphone in one hand and a good 'ole boombox in the other, Ora takes control of a colorful street scene of breakdancers who show off some pretty nifty moves and battle it out to the song's hooky club beat.

[VIDEO] Cherrytree Pop Chop Minute with Arjan Featuring Far East Movement

Last night, the second leg of the Canadian Cherrytree Pop Alternative Tour kicked off in Winnipeg featuring LMFAO and Far East Movement with special guests Natalia Kills, Rye Rye, Kay Colette Carr and Frankmusik. The Cherrytree crew will be zig-zagging across Canada until the final date of the tour in Vancouver On December 22.

I joined the Cherrytree Pop Alternative for part of the first leg last month and chatted with each of the performers for a few very special episodes of our ongoing Cherrytree Pop Chop Minute series.

While on their way from an HMV in-store appearance to the Montreal concert venue, I caught up with Far East Movement. FM's Kev Nish talks about the special nature of the Cherrytree Pop Alternative Tour and their genre-mashing "Dirty Bass" sound that will dominate their much-anticipated new album that will hit stores early 2012.

Read more about my visit to the Cherrytree Pop Alternative Tour here and look out for new Pop Chop episodes with Kay, Colette Carr, Rye Rye and Natalia Kills over the next few days right here on this blog with a few special surprises.
