After stirring up a storm in the blogosphere with their remix of Lana Del Rey's "Video Games," Manchester remix collective Club Clique now serves up a buzzing revamp of Rey's "Blue Jeans." The track is the official b-side of the "Video Games" single that is flying up the pop charts overseas and is starting to impact the U.S. as well.In fact, Billboard Magazine reported last week that Rey recently signed to Interscope Records, which should give her project a steady push forward. If you're falling head over heals for Rey '60s inspired pin up pop, make sure to grab Rey's unreleased "Diet Mtn Dew" as well that I first posted early 2010.

[FIRST LISTEN] 2AM Club "Reach Down Deep" (MP3)

Pop outfit 2AM Club has been bouncing between New York and Los Angeles for the last few months to record tracks for their forthcoming new album. The group debuted back in 2010 with their LP "What Did You Think Was Going To Happen" (RCA/Jive). Over the last few weeks, the 2AM six have been sharing some of the new music they've been working on to give fans a glimpse of what's to come.

The group of Marc (vocals), Tyler (vocals), Matt (guitar), Sauce (bass), Dave (drums) and Ian (keys) shared the very soulful "Every Evening" back in September, and this week the group put out the new "Reach Down Deep." The song shows the artistic progression of the band who both wrote and produced the track.

Set to a subtly grinding drum groove, the swooning and sincere "Reach Down Deep" is an incredibly well-crafted slice of melodic balladry that features the soulful vocals of Mark who is at witt's end after a lovers' quarrel. He sings, "You wanna run around. Go right ahead. The ball is in your court now, the crown is on your head."

Tyler reinforces and raps, "I've been doing everything I want and you've been gone, gone for so long. I've been busy with the life that I want. Come out of your glass house, put down the stones." His rhymes are followed by a very pretty instrumental build that leads right back to the hooky chorus. It's an excellent new tune that should get us all very excited about 2AM Club's forthcoming new music.
