Tinie Tempah's Platinum Single Becomes Soundtrack To MLB Campaign

A big and mighty congratulations is in order for British superstar Tinie Tempah after it was announced that his platinum tune "Written In The Stars" has been selected as the soundtrack to Major League Baseball's post-season promotional campaign.

I don't know much about baseball, but I do know that it is the quintessential American pastime and it is a pretty big deal for a British artist to be included. Tinie says in a press release, "It's an honor to have 'Written in the Stars' selected for the MLB's Postseason campaign. The reception my debut album has received in America has been incredible. It doesn't get any more American than baseball so what an honor to have my song be the soundtrack to the playoffs and World Series."

Tinie also released a new episode of his Disturbing video series that chronicles his appearance on Lollapalooza with an electrifying performance. Make sure to watch and catch him stir up the crowd around the 3:00 minute mark with a stomping rendition of "Miami 2 Ibiza." Massive!

In the meantime, Tinie's album "Disc-overy" (the U.K.'s top-selling debut album by a British artist in 2010) is available in the U.S. now and includes debut single, "Written In The Stars" that recently went platinum in the U.S. making it clear that Tinie is on his way to becoming the first British rapper to achieve major stardom in America.

Watch Tinie Tempah "Written In The Stars" MLB promo after the break. On a related Tinie note, he will be the very special guest on my very first ARTIST #TALK that I'm conducting in partnership with HP on September 14 in NYC.

[VIDEO] Neon Hitch Covers Kreayshawn "Gucci Gucci"

Neon-gucci

Neon Hitch takes Kreayshawn's rambunctious Rodeo Drive rap to the streets of New York on her brand-new cover of the Kreayshawn's "Gucci Gucci." After revamping tunes by Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller, Neon Hitch now shows off her designer pop bling flaunting up and down the streets of Manhattan.

Thrifty and enterprising, Neon also opens shop selling her fancy handbags and sunglasses right in front of the Andy Warhol Monument on Union Square. That's right. Who'd ever thought kitsch was not art, better think again.

Neon Hitch puts her own unique spin on every cover she puts out and this Kreayshawn revamp in particular has been performed and produced so incredibly well that it's almost a complete new song. And yes, chances are you may like it more than the original. It's faboulous, feisty, and ultimately, oh-so-very fierce in a way that only Neon is. Just let her purr and pout, and this gypsy queen will deliver a potent tune with attitude, a fighting spirit and a heavy dose of girl power. Watch Neon Hitch "Gucci Gucci" cover after the break. (Directed by PotsnPans Films)
